dec 21 16-42 Uxmal Ruins is in the Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico. It is an ancient Maya city of the classical period, considered one of the most important archaeological sites in the Puuc region, Located in the Santa Elena Valley. Although fertile soil, they had a regular problem with permanent water, so they created storage or cisterns for holding. Occupation of Uxmal was 500 BC til 800-100 AD. By 1200 AD, the site was semi abandoned.
